TECHNOWOOD SRL with headquarters in Brașov, str. Mureșenilor, no. 11, ap. 4, cam. 2, Brașov County, announces the completion, on 31.08.2018, of the implementation of the project “Activity diversification of SC TECHNOWOOD SRL through the acquisition of machinery and equipment necessary for innovative activity of general mechanical operations”,SMIS code 104513, co-funded by the European Fund of Regional Development based on the financing contract concluded with the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration as Managing Authority of the Regional Operational Program 2014-2020.

The main goal of the project is to consolidate the market position in a completely new accessed field, developing, modernizing and increasing the competitiveness of the new sector of general mechanics operations (Sharpening and welding operations of various metal parts for thirds – band saws teeth, planning knives, reversible knives, solid carbide and shank tools) of SC TECHNOWOOD SRL, sustainable growth of the competitiveness of the local, regional and national business environment. 

Project objectives: 

1. Increasing and maintaining the average number of employees compared to the level registered in 2015 until the end of the project’s sustainability period with 5 people 
2. Developing TECHNOWOOD SRL by creating a new working capacity – operations of general mechanics as a result of using efficient machines and equipment 
3. Increasing competitiveness on the local, regional and national market through the acquisition of tangible assets incorporating new technologies 
4. Ensuring equal opportunities and equal treatment between the employees of the company by observing the legislation on equal opportunities and treatment 

The Results: Endowment with high-performance machinery and equipment, development and diversification of the company’s activity, increasing competitiveness on the profile market, ensuring equal opportunities. 

Indicator accomplished: Increasing and maintaining the average number of employees – 5 new positions. 

The impact of the implementation of the project at a regional level is represented by the increase of the level of competitiveness and attractiveness of the region, growth of the innovative capacity and the competitiveness of the business environment and the creation of 5 new jobs.
